The Insight Project was set out by Cyril Laffort to work with different groups of the community: children from primary and secondary schools, children and adults with physical/learning disabilities, inmates ...

Each project aims to engage individuals into photographic practice and visual interpretation in a collaborative approach, with the intention to display selected work. The participants will therefore set up an exhibition in view to broaden awareness of photography and show its accessibility as a form of expression as well as a form of art.

The project offers, through dynamic workshops, the opportunity for the participants to initiate themselves and explore photography in a recreational and creative way. The participants will be able to observe and reflect on their self, their circle, their backgrounds or surroundings with a camera, having a choice of decision on what to show and thus a control over their creative action. This initiation into an 'made-accessible' art form will intend to trigger the participants' awareness of the perception they have of themselves, of their individual environment and their place within the community.

Cyril holds an Enhanced CRB Disclosure Certificate and has full Public Liability insurance.
